Why 100% Arabica Coffee

It is helpful to understand why Arabica Beans and not Robusta Bean.

Taste:

Arabica Beans are sweeter, softer, and higher in acidity. Acidity in coffee is not to be confused with unpleasant sourness, rather, like wine, is tasted on the sides and back of the tongue. The high acidity in Arabica Coffee leaves a pleasant aftertaste that lingers on the palate.

Growing Conditions:

Arabica Beans are more difficult to grow in the higher altitudes due to wind, frost, rainfall, and pest conditions.

Robusta Beans have a stronger, harsher taste, and contain twice as much caffeine as Arabica Beans. Robusta Beans are easier to grow and are not as affected by weather conditions or pests. A higher quality Robusta bean will be found in Espresso Coffees.
